As the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at Ogletree Deakins, Lia Dorsey is responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy. Ms. Dorsey collaborates with firm leadership, practice group leaders, and business resource groups to expand and advance efforts in the recruitment, development, promotion and retention of diverse talent. She has experience in strategic change management, organizational development, and several talent management disciplines including leadership development, training, coaching and marketing and business development.
Ms. Dorsey previously served as the Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Dentons US LLP. There, she was responsible for the strategic oversight, design, and implementation of the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. Earlier, she served as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Eversheds Sutherland US LLP. She also held senior positions at DLA Piper and Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC.
Ms. Dorsey is a thought leader in the movement to advance diversity and a driver for inclusive change. She is President Emeritus of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals, and a member of several leading diversity organizations. Ms. Dorsey is a frequent presenter and panelist on a broad range of topics covering diversity, equity and inclusion at conferences across the country.
