After years of working in “big law,” serving the interests of large corporate clients, Matt Hrutkay, J.D., decided to create a new type of law firm. Hrutkay Law caters to the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses working to create sustainable growth. They ensure that a business’ day-to-day legal needs are taken care of, while also developing a long-term plan for the law to support strategic growth.
Matt graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in June 2010 and developed his practice working for two internationally recognized law firms in New York, before moving to San Diego in 2018 to work as an attorney with Troutman Sanders LLP (now Troutman Pepper). The entrepreneurs he met in San Diego inspired him to forge his own path. That’s why he formed Hrutkay Law in 2019—to help businesses that need sensible counsel and representation when facing the challenges of small business growth and limited resources.
Matt was inspired to form Hrutkay Law by what he now knows to be true—when we are free to pursue our passions, magical things happen. His goal is to free you from legal worries so that you can make magic happen for your business.
