Naren Balkarran

Clinical Coordinator, John Hopkins Onsite Clinics

Naren Balkarran is a clinical coordinator for the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Johns Hopkins Medicine. He has been in this role for over 15 years and is responsible for clinical and operational oversight of onsite clinics.

 

Dr. Balkarran has gained valuable experience in occupational medicine, primary care medicine, and clinic management while working as the onsite clinician at the PepsiCo Employee Health and Wellness Center in Piscataway, New Jersey, for over two years and as a clinician for Concentra Medical Centers, an employee health clinic, for over four and a half years. Additionally, he gained valuable leadership and medical training while enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves for eight years.

 

Dr. Balkarran obtained his doctorate of health science from A.T. Stills University and his master of science degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Health Related Professionals. He is an active member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants, and the American Association of Physician Assistants.
